Men's Rites of Passage, 2008Men's Rites of Passage 2008
Rydal Hall, Lake District
Wed. July 16 – Sun. July 20, 2008

You may have heard that the Men's Rites of Passage, as developed by Fr Richard Rohr and his team over the past 20 years, are going to be held in Rydal Hall in the Lake District, England next July.

Men from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales are particularly invited to attend and we hope you can be among their number.

This is not just another Catholic/Christian men's retreat. Rather it is a five day formal program following classic patterns of male initiation through simple moving rituals and teachings that lead men to a more healthy and deeper understanding of themselves as men and of their role in community. These teachings on the "mysteries" and the accompanying rituals have met with a very strong positive response in recent years. Here is what some men said of their experience.

1. “One of the three great spiritual experiences of my life…”
2. "The most profound thing I had ever experienced. It left me with a stronger and healthier experience of my own masculinity and manhood. I felt for the first time ever, gods love for me, which is an ever growing relationship that continues to shape my life."
3. "This program is a key for men who want to deepen, improve and heal relationships with sons, grandsons, fathers and brothers…
4. Fr. Richard says that he gets many letters from women thanking him for what the rites have done for their men.

We are privileged that these rites are been performed so close to us this year. This is a great opportunity not to be missed. Please don't let money be a reason for not going. There are concessions available. Just contact us and we will see how we can help.
